The Face Behind Salted Limon – Update

Hi, I am Lisa, aka Salted Limon. I am a Freelance Graphic Designer based in Bristol. A lot happened in the last 4 years of Salted Limon, so I feel it’s important to give you a little update on what has been happening. You may (or not) have noticed my silence on this blog or my social media over the past year. Yes, Salted Limon is still alive, life just came in the way. So, here is my story.

In 2018, my partner and I decided to leave France for new adventures and professional opportunities abroad. We chose to land in England, near Bristol. Before leaving, I was an in-house Graphic Designer and Communication Officer in the South of France. When we move to England, I became a freelance Graphic Designer in order to have more flexibility.

Since then, I have developed my customer base with clients in France, England, and further away in Ghana. I am very pleased to work with strong and inspiring people, most of them are owners of small businesses. I actually love working with startups, creating their branding and being involved in the emergence of their services or products is very inspiring, and rewarding.

What do I do best?

I am specialized in designing logos, branding, packaging, and website, or all kind of graphic design (such as business cards, leaflets, brochures etc.). I also love working on video projects – especially motion design. You can check out my portfolio here.

Why freelancing?

I chose to freelance because it gives me more flexibility to balance my professional and personal life. I am now also a mum of 2 little ones, and it’s important for me to be there for them. Working is also essential for me, it’s my happy place, I love what I do. Freelancing helps me to have both: Win-Win!

What are your key values?

Honest – Transparency and trust are key to how I work.

Creative – I am passionate – graphic design is in my blood. I define my style as minimalist and elegant. I also consider myself creative in a wider way. I like to challenge myself with different projects such as a podcast or developing business ideas.

Working for Good – It’s very important for me to work for good. To do so, I volunteer and get involved in non-profit projects. I also give 10% of my turnover to charities.

What’s next?

I would like to support businesses with their design and image. Contact me if that’s something you or someone you know need.
